Jungle’s warbled neo-soul is here for your summer

Jungle drops the heat platoon busy earnin

Jungle has persistently stretched the definition of its music since its initial release, Drops, in the summer of last year. What began as a project likened to to Jai Paul and James Blake expanded to be more closely associated with electronic, neo-soul and funk. Plus, they’re thankfully among the mysterious-beginnings-to-viral-fame groups that puts out new music with speed and consistency.

Now with 6 songs under their belt that appeal to the hazy summer afternoon crowd, they’re in good position for the release of their self-titled debut on July 14th on XL Recordings. Listen to their newest jam, Time, then continue on with the rest of their songs from Soundcloud below.

They were also slated to stop by the Doug Fir next week, but that has now been rescheduled to October 16th at the Wonder Ballroom here in Portland.
