A smattering of upbeat-yet-not-quite-bangers today. Particularly excited about the latest remix from Bixel Boys, who continuously put out dance-floor friendly tracks without necessarily adhering to a specific genre or trend, something that’s pretty refreshing in the Soundcloud universe. Also want to call out The Rooftop Boys proving themselves once again with a remix of David Guetta (their only other sound was the out-of-nowhere take on Kanye West’s Bound 2, which you can hear a little further down the playlist).
BIXEL BOYS: Golden Features – Tell Me Ft. Nicole Millar (Bixel Boys Remix)
Oliver Heldens: Can’t Stop Playing (Oliver Heldens & Gregor Salto Remix) [Preview]
David Guetta & Showtek – Bad (The Rooftop Boys Remix)
Long & Harris – Perception [EDM.com Exclusive]
Bondax: All I See (TCTS Remix)[Annie Mac, BBC Radio 1 rip]
A quote from the eloquent Yolanda Be Cool, describing the breaks-infused b-side Clutch from their upcoming EP. Why think of a title for a post when there’s a line that beautiful sitting smack in the middle of the page?
After The Bixel Boys track there’s an aggressive disco remix from Yuksek, then smattering of indie dance/deep house newness from Lane 8 and Le Youth. Round it out with Zhu’s remix of Lana Del Rey, which delivers an immaculately stripped down remix with some well-timed, in your face horn stabs.
