LeMarquis gives a chill, deep and sometimes pretty minimal makeover to the likes of Ludacris, Mario, Brandy, Indeep and Lucy Pearl. Not to mention they are all free for download.

End of the week playlist: Grandtheft
Portland welcomes Toronto based DJ and producer Grandtheft tonight at downtown’s Whiskey Bar. With him will come a spate of dance music genres that are bound to elicit a couple of “HEY” chants from the crowd – a sampling of his songs have been added to the Pump U playlist, listen below for trap (Technicolor edit, Keep it 100 ), jersey club (Heavy Hitterz), big room (Close remix) and some top notch top 40 remixes.
This end of the week playlist is well-rounded
A smattering of upbeat-yet-not-quite-bangers today. Particularly excited about the latest remix from Bixel Boys, who continuously put out dance-floor friendly tracks without necessarily adhering to a specific genre or trend, something that’s pretty refreshing in the Soundcloud universe. Also want to call out The Rooftop Boys proving themselves once again with a remix of David Guetta (their only other sound was the out-of-nowhere take on Kanye West’s Bound 2, which you can hear a little further down the playlist).
- BIXEL BOYS: Golden Features – Tell Me Ft. Nicole Millar (Bixel Boys Remix)
- Oliver Heldens: Can’t Stop Playing (Oliver Heldens & Gregor Salto Remix) [Preview]
- David Guetta & Showtek – Bad (The Rooftop Boys Remix)
- Long & Harris – Perception [EDM.com Exclusive]
- Bondax: All I See (TCTS Remix)[Annie Mac, BBC Radio 1 rip]
- Chilly Gonzales – You Can Dance
End of the week playlist: gonna give it to ya straight
No theme, no frills, no dissatisfaction here. This here is just made for your Friday night.
Starting off with the latest high-energy disco house song from Solidisco (which infectiously makes use of that instantly recognizable yet unidentifiable “woop woop” sample), followed by some top-notch Belarbi remixes and a hard-hitting but overwhelmingly positive remix of Bound 2, this selection will not do you wrong. Might even make you feel like that picture right up there.
“If Jesus was two guys, he’d be Bixel Boys ”
A quote from the eloquent Yolanda Be Cool, describing the breaks-infused b-side Clutch from their upcoming EP. Why think of a title for a post when there’s a line that beautiful sitting smack in the middle of the page?
After The Bixel Boys track there’s an aggressive disco remix from Yuksek, then smattering of indie dance/deep house newness from Lane 8 and Le Youth. Round it out with Zhu’s remix of Lana Del Rey, which delivers an immaculately stripped down remix with some well-timed, in your face horn stabs.
- BIXEL BOYS – Clutch (Original Mix)
- MONTMARTRE – Inside of me – YUKSEK remix
- Eric Prydz – Liberate (Lane 8 Remix)
- Le Youth – Feel Your Love (ft. Javeon)
- ZHU x LANA DEL REY – West Coast.
- AMTRAC – ALL NIGHT (ORIGINAL MIX)
The Dealer’s got your weekend supply
Extremely danceable, steel drums and saxophone present, a Lana Del Rey remix and less than 10,000 plays on each tune means you’re going into the weekend armed with something fresh. The newest additions to the weekend playlist are from The Dealer, which you can listen to below And if you’re looking for somewhere to get moving to more sounds like this, check out the event beneath the playlist for Main Squeeze at Holocene Saturday May 31.
Throwback Thursday – Beautiful House
End of week party jams: “if you like Disclosure” edition
This week’s end of week playlist edition is short and sweet. Two artists on display – Lxury and XO. Lxury broke onto the scene last fall with the track J.A.W.S., produced with Disclosure. While his subsequent releases have been few and far between, each has thoroughly impressed by delivering the same mass appeal layered on top of compelling creativity.
XO is an 18-year-old UK producer (of course) whose sound is strikingly similar to that of Disclosure—in the best possible way. The tune What’s Luv‘s use of female vocalist infused with pop and future garage styles is reminiscent of Disclosure’s collaboration with AlunaGeorge or Eliza Doolittle, while Old Skool‘s sample-repetition and deep house vibes begs (very positive) comparisons to When a Fire Starts to Burn or Grab Her!
And since Disclosure’s ‘Latch’ is continuing to rise on the U.S. Hot 100 chart, it’ll be good to have a few extra backups handy.
[free DLs] end of week party jams
Or: Songs Jamie wishes he could hear while out somewhere this weekend. Bunch of free downloads, too.
[FREE DOWNLOAD] First is a Kitsune Maison release, pretty hard hitting house tune. Download thanks to Find New Jams.
Next up is from Marc Kinchen, or MK, with a phenomenal take on HAIM’s ‘If I Could Change Your Mind’. Really kicks into gear a little after the two minute mark.
Then we’ve got two pop-powerhouse songs given extremely danceable overhauls. If the originals weren’t your thing, these just might be. From what I can tell they are the only songs out by Gryffin, and I’m very much looking forward to more. Free downloads to boot.
[FREE DOWNLOAD] Really creative remix of Stevie Wonder’s Superstition by Autograf. That beat drop at 2:20 mm-mmm.
[FREE DOWNLOAD] Remix of Mapei’s ‘Don’t Wait’ by Cranks.
And this one because Russ Chimes.
[house] Tensnake – Love Sublime (Le Youth remix)
Le Youth pulls a dreamy deep-house remix of Tensnake’s ‘Love Sublime’. House piano, string stabs, and an amazing bass line abound.
